Finding a rare coin in your pocket is possible, it just takes some time.
Where to find old coins?
-At your local bank
-From change from the cashier
-If you live in the South or the East Coast, it could be possible to find old coins in barns or war fields
-At Gettysburg, during the war, many soldiers were carrying coins with them and could have lost them in the battle fields
-Always remember to look down to the ground because who knows, you might find a wheat penny or even a 1955 Doubled Obverse Wheat Cent; I have found old coins this way many times
-If you have Grandparents, ask them about any old coins that they might have, they will be more than happy and pass them onto their Grandson or Granddaughter
-If you need quarters for laundry, you can get a couple of $10 rolls from your local bank, open them and check for any pre 1965 quarters; I actually found a couple of 1964 quarters this way, rare but could happen
-If you decide to go to the beach, you can rent a metal detector and try to search for old coins, many people around the US find coins this way
-Before going to a local Safeway and dumping all your change into a coin star machine, check all change before, who knows, maybe you'll find a silver half dollar?
-Pick up all pennies you see on the ground, it is good luck and you could score big time! Imagine if you find a genuine 1943 copper cent, you could get anywhere from $10,000 - $1,000,000 for it in an auction
-Last but not least, check your piggy bank at home, because before you read this post you did not realize that you might have some old US coinage; including silver half dollars, quarters, dimes, buffalo nickels, Indian cents, and wheat pennies. Just have fun with this, post any findings on our comments.
We appreciate your business and want to hear what our readers find, please be so kind and comment on what you find, also attach a photo of the coins you find.
